Mummy Ingrid is: 35 Weeks & 5 Days Pregnant
Countdown To Baby Kievan's Arrival: 30 Days

Went for my checkup yesterday and everything's just fine. I'm scheduled for the CTG scan for the rest of my checkups. The CTG scan is to check for the baby's heartbeat, so everytime, me and hubby will stay in this small little room listening to our baby's heartbeat for 20 minutes. It's really cute, sounds like horse-racing to us. And if the baby moves, the heartbeat will become faster for awhile, then return to normal again. It's really, really cute.

We did the usual ultrascan after the CTG, and doctor says baby is very healthy. He's slightly bigger and weighs about 2.4kg. Which is amazing huh, i've got a "slightly bigger" baby inside my skinny framed body. But i'm not skinny at all now. I've bloated and gained lots of weight. But everytime I tell someone i'm actually quite fat now, no one believes me. Well, i've been eating so much for the sake of the baby, i'm bound to gain weight, what's so hard to believe? And from now till I give birth, how much more weight baby Kievan gains will depend on how much I eat, so I plan to eat nothing but good food now, and lots of it. I can always go on a diet after the baby is born, no biggie. And if you're wondering how much weight i've gained throughout the whole pregnancy, it's 14kg. Minus my baby's weight of 2.4kg, the remaining 11.6kg goes to me. I don't intend to shake off all the fats i've gained though, i'll probably reduce my weight down to 43kg-45kg. I used to be just 40kg so I think 43kg or 45kg should look good.

Oh... and baby Kievan's not shy at all too. He opened his legs wide open and showed us his little scrotum and penis. I bet my hubby loved looking at it. Hehe.

I think i'm beginning to have "nesting instincts". I want to pack up our room for the baby already. Like clear some closet space for his baby stuff, fix the baby cot, and continue shopping for other necessities. I want everything to be just perfect. We've already shopped for a sterilizer, milk bottles, some clothes, and a powder container. We still need diaper liners, wet tissues, a hot water flask and lots more. It's so fun shopping for baby's stuff.

I've gone through all the shopping bags at least 5 times. I love looking at all the baby stuff we've bought. The clothes are so tiny and so adorable! And the mittens and booties too! My heart goes "awwwwwwwwwww" whenever I look at the clothes I got for baby Kievan. I can't wait to see him wear them.
