Baby Kievan is: 1 month, 1 week & 5 days oldBaby Kievan is getting cuter and cuter day by day. I love him so much I can't explain how it feels like. Totally unconditional. A mother's love is really great. The kind of love is so overwhelming, that you can... well, basically give up everything just for your child. I finally understood how my mother, how all mothers felt. And I have the deepest respect for all of them.
Like for instance, I used to love my sleep, without 12 hours of sleep, I would feel so unlike myself. But for my baby, I don't mind all these nights of broken sleep. I could sleep like a dead log in the past, but now I would wake up to the slightest sounds that my baby make.
I used loved to shop for myself, to doll up and look good. But for baby, I rather save the money to buy his stuff. And myself? I look like an old hag honestly. My pretty clothes don't fit my anymore, my hair is always tied up (FYI, ever since I had long hair, I never tied it up even when i'm at home) and fatigue haunts my face.
There's so much difference in me and my life ever since baby entered my world. But everything I do or give up, is so, so, so worth it. I know there would be no regrets later on in life. All baby have to do is to look or smile at me, and i'll be so happy that nothing else really matters.
Okay, enough rambling, time for pictures of my prince!
My smiling darling.
Baby always look at the person feeding him, probably trying to start recognising our faces.
Presenting... Super Baby! (the hand posture *wink*)
He's so sweet isn't he?
We were cleaning up his poop while taking his picture. *giggles*
So is this picture, see how patiently is he waiting for us to freshen him up.
Poor baby inherited my eyebags, sorry darling.
Joey tried to capture his smile, but was too slow. This is how he looks like one second after he smiled.
I think this picture is hilarious. Look at his arms! *lol* He's flailing his hands while Joey snapped the camera, that's why it's blurry.
I forgot to mention that I played with baby for one whole hour today. He was sort of sitting on my lap while I sang his loads of nursery songs. And he kept smiling at me! He really did. My baby is such a sweetie.
And here's 3 pictures of Mommy Ingrid. These were taken on baby's 1st month celebration. I edited them into black and white because the original color is quite horrible.
PS: I had makeup on. You're going to freak out if you see me now.

Baby Kievan is: 4 weeks & 1 day oldOkay, I admit, I was too busy to update.
Too busy caressing his little hands and feet.
Too busy covering him with kisses.
Too busy inhaling his sweet baby scent.
In other words, I was too busy falling in love with my baby.
So, let's skip the whole "labour experience-taking care of baby-recovering from the after fats (and wound) of pregnancy" thingy and start with my precious' pictures. I'm dying to show you guys the biggest love of my life: Baby Kievan.
1 day old baby Kievan. Picture taken in the ICU. (I shall explain his stay in the ICU the next time.) Anyway, look at the way he position his hand. He was sucking on the pacifier before the picture was taken and was actually holding the pacifier. (I didn't knew that newborn babies know how to hold onto the pacifier and to take it out from his mouth when he doesn't want to suck any longer, but I would like to think that my baby is a child prodigy.) That's why his hands are like that. But my amusing husband told me that his posture look like some big burly guy from WWE who likes to do the same action and say "Can you dig it suckoooooo?" (I think that was what he said, but i'm not entirely sure."
2 day old baby Kievan. Picture taken somehow professionally by the hospital people. Look, he's actually smiling. Lots of babies took this kind of pictures, but i've never seen a smiling one. Sorry if I sound too brag-gy. But I think all Mommys are like that.
3 day old baby Kievan. Picture taken at home in his baby cot. Look, his eyes aren't totally open yet. My auntie told me that he's still "water retended". Just like Mommy. *lol*
Look at that side profile. I've been told that I look like that too when I was a baby, except that I had no hair.
4 day old baby Kievan with his eyes a little bigger, and looking so handsome and mature for a 4 day old baby.
6 day old baby Kievan looking kinda cheeky. Look, his eyes are getting bigger!
7 day old Kievan. Picture taken when he just woke up.
Reminds me of a snowball, he's cute as a button isn't he?
8 day old baby Kievan looking solemnly cute. He had just taken his bath and was feeling really relaxed and comfortable.
Here is he lying on our bed with his eyes wide open. My precious knows how to look at the camera when I call out to him.
16 day old baby Kievan sleeping on our bed. I bet he's feeling super comfortable under the comforter and all.
23 day old baby Kievan lying flatdown on my anutie's chest.
Next, he's trying to raise his head up.
And tada! My precious did it. He managed to raise his head up even higher with just my auntie's hand supporting the back of his neck. He's a fine, strong baby boy ain't he? And only 23 days old!
On his baby cot sucking contentedly on his pacifier.
He looks like he's waving to Mommy!
How is it that babies can make themselve look so comfortable even if it's just lying down staring into space?
Hubby's favoutite picture. Our lovely little pineapple baby.
When he's pooping! *giggles* Poor thing, look at his expression, being snapped at while doing his private business.
26 day old baby Kievan looking super duperly sweet. Don't he make you want to cuddle and snuggle him?
And yesterday, we celebrated his full month at my Mom's place. It was an advance celebration with our family and relatives. Everyone was simply cooing at baby Kievan. But he really is so adorable I don't think anyone could resist him. I was really happy to go home, even if it's for just a few hours. I miss my home badly and of course my cat. So you could imagine how excited I was when I went home yesterday. Well, at least next week, i'll be going home to stay for a few days. With baby and hubby of course.
29 day old baby Kievan looking at the camera once again. He was very curious about my Mom's place, so he spent a good hour or so looking around with that darn cute expression on his face.
My precious baby boy looking a little bewildered. Probably by all those people that was surrounding him. He loves to be around people.
My Dad with baby Kievan on his lap. My Dad hardly has his picture taken, so I guess he's really happy yesterday and that he loves baby Kievan as much as I do! (Of course he took some pictures on my wedding day too.)
Hubby, Mummy and baby Kievan in my room. Look at his darling cot behind, it's even completed with a canopy. Everyone said that it looks like it's fit for a prince. Well, he is my little prince afterall. And I hope that I can always give him the best.
The End
PS: Thanks for looking at the pictures and tolerating my bragginess. *hee* But I hope you guys find him as lovely as I do. Will update soon if I have the time. My nanny is going back tomorrow, so I'll be as nervous as a headless chicken for the next few days. It will just be baby, me and my mother-in-law from morning till 3+ in the afternoon. Then my mother-in-law has to go to work, and i'll be alone with the baby until hubby comes back around evening time. Wish me luck! Hopefully our maid can arrive a few days earlier, I really need someone to help me with baby Kievan. Ciao!
PPS: Does baby Kievan look like more like Mommy or Daddy?
